I didnt do a close up.. cause I dont really like it.

but whatever, I can check "use dried flowers" off the list.

The Whale Binky

after posting on facebook that i wish there was a "smart binky" :)

and instead of buying one i made one!

The point is that when she gets older she can easily pick up and hold her own binky.

So this is lou's new "whale binky" that I made and I hope she someday likes it!

Easter!

I made a bunny cake this year.

I don't know about everyone else but I like to celebrate holidays full blast..

egg dying, hunting, cake decorating, picnics, Easter eggs baskets. 

apparently if not for me my fam would have done nothing for Easter... :)

anyway here is my bunny cake.

Beautiful Thing #1

Sun warmed rocks

Sun warmed things are amazing. This time its rocks, but I am certain I will

someday do a post about "sun spots" (those spots of sun that come through your window and warm

your carpet. um hum) because sun spots are probably the best thing ever. But today I shall post rocks.

We had a picnic yesterday for Easter and we sat on these particular rocks looking

over the creek, watching Lumpkin jump in the freezing water for his precious (the tennis ball)

anyway I had a moment with these particular sheets of stone so that was my little beautiful thing of the day. laying on something warm (and somehow cozy for a rock) while the breeze cools of the top of you. um.

Is there anything better on a cool day than a giant warm rock?

I submit that there is not.

Anyone ever lay their face on a warm rock? do it.

A 100 Beautiful Things

Yes I am blogging again. I know I stopped for... a year? I dont know. And I might stop again at any moment. But for now I begin again.
A new "series" I am going to do is more a reminder for me than anyone else.. but I am going to (once a week or so) name a "beautiful thing" a moment, a feeling, a sight; something small i appreciated that week, to remind me to appreciate all the beautiful little things.
And no I didnt come up with this idea. I am totally copying it from another blog I saw. I will never process to be brilliantly original but I do profess to know brilliance when I see it ;)
So I will begin.. tomorrow. Probably.
